If you have ever wondered what a Game Jam is or even thought about taking part then there is not better opportunity than now! Game Jams are a great, interactive way to try new things and learn some new skills. This Jam is open for beginners with little to no background through to experienced jammers who have seen this all before. Everyone is welcome and you will find a warm and friendly group of people to help you along and get you started. The theme is around 'New Starts' and there will be optional modifiers to help out beginners. Prizes will be awarded for the team or individual with the most votes by the CS/GD committee as well as the most student vote. Come join us!
If you want to take part but don't really know where to start, don't worry. Many others will be in the same position. Each activity can be done independently or as a team. If you want to join a team but don't know of any, the best thing to do is register your interest on the respective activity page and we will then try to place you in a team with a mix of new and current students. This is a great way to meet new people! If you already have a team or want to try the challenges out on your own then you don't need to worry about this bit; but still create a cool Team name (even if you are on your own)! Remember, if you do try and complete the challenges individually then they may take a little longer!
