The School of Computer Science 2020 orientation week will this year be held fully online. It takes place from the 5th to 9th October and includes a whole host of ways to introduce you to the school, staff and the university in general. To help with this, we (as current students) wanted to make sure that you get the best start and make as many new friends as possible. So a team of us have built and designed this website along with loads of student led social activities, where you can meet other students, staff members and your course reps, all in one place. Feel free to contact us at any time about the activities or help about creating or joining a team. You can also take part individually or mix and match between the activities. If you want to take part but don't really know where to start, don't worry. Many others will be in the same position. Each activity can be done independently or as a team. If you want to join a team but don't know of any, the best thing to do is register your interest on the respective activity page and we will then try to place you in a team with a mix of new and current students. This is a great way to meet new people! If you already have a team or want to try the challenges out on your own then you don't need to worry about this bit; but still create a cool Team name (even if you are on your own)! Remember, if you do try and complete the challenges individually then they may take a little longer!
